Founder & Editorial Director: Alison Cavatore is the Founder and Editorial Director of Global Living Magazine. She has a BA in Psychology and a MA in Communication. Alison has lived in the U.S. (Pittsburgh, Miami, Washington D.C., and Scottsdale), Holland, France, Canada, and Switzerland. She current resides in the Washington, DC metro area with her husband and daughter.

Assistant Editor: Shirley Agudo is an American author, editor and photographer based in the Netherlands. She is the author/photographer of six books: The Dutch & Their Bikes: Scenes from a Nation of Cyclists (; Bicycle Mania Holland (; Fodor’s Holland; Hot Pink; Network Your Way to Success, and Here’s Holland ( As a social documentary photographer, she is also the founder of the Amsterdam Street Photographers’ collective. Expat Resource Manager: Dounia Bertuccelli is a freelance writer, a co-host of #TCKchat (a Twitter chat for Third Culture Kids around the globe) and Expat Resource Manager for Global Living Magazine. She is also the #TCKchat columnist for Among Worlds. A TCK of Lebanese origin, Dounia grew up in France, Australia, Philippines, Mexico, the U.S. and Cyprus, and has studied/lived in the U.K., France and U.S. as an adult. Jennifer B. Niles is an author, yogi, vegan and health coach currently living on a small tropical island in the middle of the South Pacific. Upon relocating a few years ago from the U.S. to the tropical island of her dreams, Jennifer reinvented her life and began to pursue her lifelong dream of writing inspirational books. Claire Bolden McGill is a British expat who spent three glorious years as a “trailing spouse” in the United States. Amanda Christel was born in The Netherlands and raised primarily in Saudi Arabia, with stints in Japan, the U.K., and Switzerland. Amanda graduated from The University of Houston with a B.S. in Hospitality Management and then moved to the tropics to pursue a career in hotel management.
