GHM Plans for Year-end Debut of The Chedi Sakala in Bali
General Hotel Management Ltd. (GHM) has announced a year-end opening of the 261-room Chedi Sakala on Nusa Dua in Bali. This will be the third property that the luxury hospitality group has opened in Bali.
The Chedi Sakala will occupy 2.4 hectares of coastline on the Nusa Dua Peninsula and feature 247 suites and 14 private one- and two-bedroom pool villas. The property will also include two swimming pools, a wellness spa, health club and lagoon bar.
Located 30 minutes drive from Kuta, The Chedi Sakala will be led by Australian hotelier Evan Pavlakis as general manager. GHM’s President, Hans R. Jennie said, “I have worked with Evan for many year and I am confident that his experience, knowledge and global network of contacts will be invaluable as he spearheads this landmark project.”
With more than four decades of international hospitality experience, Pavlakis has spent 26 years in general manger and vice-president positions with five-star hotel groups.
“I’ve managed hotels in some of the most talked-about corners of the globe; but there is an untouched beauty about this stretch of shore that is impossible to resist. Benoa is Bali at its best,” Pablakis said.
GHM has a vast portfolio of exclusive hotels and resorts, all with a unique style mixing contemporary interpretations of Asian designs and distinctive local touches.
