Mandarin Oriental Heads to Atlanta

Earlier this month, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced that it has signed a long term management contract to rebrand and operate an existing luxury hotel and residences in Atlanta. Currently “The Mansion on Peachtree,” the property will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta and will include 25 private, luxury homes that will be sold as The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta. Situated in one of Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhoods, Buckhead, the property provides easy access for guests looking to enjoy the finest in dining, shopping and cultural attractions.

Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Edouard Ettedgui, said, “We are delighted to introduce Mandarin Oriental’s renowned services and facilities to this important destination. This agreement provides the Group with an opportunity to establish our brand in one of America’s fastest growing, cosmopolitan cities.”

Located just 35 minutes from Atlanta Hartsfeld-Jackson International Airport and ten minutes from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (which accommodates private aircraft), the upcoming Mandarin hotel and residences will be housed in an iconic, 42-story mixed-use building, which was designed by American architect Robert A.M. Stern. The hotel features 127 guestrooms and suites with spectacular views of Atlanta in addition to 25 private residences.

The property also features an all-day dining restaurant and lounge bar, extensive spa facilities with 14 treatment rooms, a 60-foot indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a wide selection of meeting rooms and a 130-seat ballroom. Occupying floors 25 to 42, the Residences will set a new standard for luxury living Georgia’s capital city.

The Buckhead district of Atlanta is known as one of the most affluent communities in the United States, featuring multi-million dollar mansions, high-end shopping and fine dining.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group currently operates or has under development, 42 hotels in 27 countries, with 18 hotels in Asia, 12 in the Americas and 12 in Europe and teh Middle East. There are currently 13 Residences at Mandarin Oriental in operation or under development.
