Uber now accepts PayPal payments in US, Germany, Italy, France & the Netherlands

Uber, the ever-popular and growing private car mobile-booking application, has announced a new partnership with PayPal, allowing Uber users to pay with PayPal in the U.S., France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

Founded in 2009, Uber has launched in over 50 cities with a constantly expanding global presences seamlessly bringing private drivers to individuals. Uber makes it easy for riders to get around town in style without having to deal with the payment in the car – each ride is automatically charged to your credit card, including tip. The new PayPal mobile technology within Uber’s app gives riders who prefer not to use a credit card another easy and quick way to pay for their trip. The PayPal payment process is integrated with the Uber app, meaning riders don’t have to login in or open a new screen in their smartphone browser.

According to Uber, “One of the most important things we’ve learned: While we Americans charge our credit cards with abandon, not everyone does.”

Uber riders who use the new PayPal option for their ride before November 28 will receive $15 toward their trip  (excludes UberTAXI).

According to Uber, the PayPal option is going to be rolled out in more countries in the near future.
